Open Weekend Success

Lakeshore welcomed record numbers at its Phase Two Open Weekend over 3rd & 4th September and saw half of the released properties reserved, further illustrating the ongoing demand for the unique homes and lifestyle for over 55s offered by Arbor Living.

Graham Richardson, managing director at Arbor Living, said: “We welcomed 128 guests from Lincolnshire and beyond to our open weekend, all of whom were intrigued to see what is on offer at Lakeshore.

“The lifestyle at Lakeshore is a relatively new concept that many people don’t even know exists but following the demand we have seen in Lincoln, I’m in no doubt that well-appointed park homes will become a mainstream offer throughout the UK for over 55s who are moving into retirement or semi-retirement.

“We have already had six out of the 12 homes reserved and from our experience, once reserved, 90% of the sales complete. It’s taken a great deal of time and effort to get Lakeshore how we wanted it – spacious and scenic – and it’s great to see so much enthusiasm for the site.”

Tim Downing, director at managing agent Pygott & Crone, said: “The Lakeshore development has been executed very well, the quality of the properties and the site itself is very attractive and because of this we achieved a great result at the open weekend.

“The open days were extremely well received and I think that is down to the uniqueness of what is on offer and many people want to see it for themselves.

“I’m really pleased for Graham and the team who have put an incredible amount of time and money in to make Lakeshore a really desirable place to live in Lincoln.”

Demand for homes by the over 55s is higher in Lincolnshire than the national average as the county’s history, aviation heritage and rural countryside, attracts those looking towards an active retirement.
